Speaker case for the modified InMoov head
thingiverse
This is the speaker box that I use for my modified InMoov head. InMoov, an open-source 3D printed robot, was created by Gaël Langevin in Paris. Anyone who wants to build one will find all the necessary information at http://www.inmoov.fr. My head has undergone several modifications, which can be found at: http://www.thingiverse.com/monnerby/designs. I selected this speaker but numerous other options are available from www.kjell.com, including a roxcore-portasound blue high-quality speaker, item # P23139. Printer Settings: * Printer Model: Vertex K8400 * Raft Usage: Irrelevant * Support Structures: No Post-Printing Instructions: To assemble the device, start by drilling holes in the SpeakerCase and in its top to facilitate mounting. The cables are fed through these openings. I also drilled holes through both SpeakerFront and SpeakerWeb for assembly purposes. These components house the speaker between them. The SpeakerFront has openings on either side that were threaded with an M3 bolt size, matching the 3mm holes drilled in the SpeakerCase. Following this setup, connect the speaker wires, then mount it between these components. Prior to mounting the speaker case onto the head, the SpeakerFront needs to be attached first.
