Spazz Fpv 5"
thingiverse
I'm designing a fpv racer for 5" props with a lower cg. I studied the features I like best in the alien, chameleon, and Qav quads and plotted out motor spacing first. Then, I worked my way up the frame. Other camera mounts are on my to-do list, but it's set up for runcam style cams. The arms are designed for 2204 to 2206 motors and 5" props. I plan to create other arms for 4" and 6" props in the future. This design will undergo more changes once I get my motors and fc. The main plate has press nuts like McMaster-Carr part #99437A135 set up for mounting the arms. The stack height is limited, but this design makes it easier to have the battery sit lower, bringing the cg closer to the prop line. This setup will work best with a flight controller that has built-in pdb and osd, like the f4 omni aio boards. Update: I've made a new version 2 of the battery, base, and cross plates that are 3mm thick. Update 6/22/19: I added v2 camera mounting and a 19mm to 28mm cam adapter. Update 6/23/19: I added rear pylon v2. *************** THIS IS STILL IN THE EARLY STAGES AND IN TESTING**************** Print settings: 2x rear pylon 4x 5in arms (set to 5mm thick for printed arms) 1x of all other parts.
