The main goal of this project is to enable kids to grasp the mathematical and physical principles involved in examining real-world objects from both three-dimensional and two-dimensional perspectives. By allowing them to visualize how an object might appear in 3D, they can gain a deeper understanding of its layout when flattened out, making it easier for them to calculate parameters such as perimeter, surface area, and volume. Assuming the average cost of filament is $20 per kilogram and each of the eight components used roughly 15 grams, the overall cost of the kit comes out to approximately $2.40. This compares favorably to a comparable product sold online, which carries a price tag of $27.34 for the set.
