SPAS 12 Airsoft Orange Safety Tip
thingiverse
Cosplaying as Robert Muldoon from the Jurassic Park movie, I managed to get my hands on a Tokyo Mauri Spas12 airsoft shotgun. It shoots three airsoft pellets at a time. At one time we lost the orange safety tip and I searched in stores for a replacement safety tip with no luck. We did manage to find the original orange safety tip again. I also managed to get another, used, Tokyo Mauri Spas12 that someone else painted the entire front barrel to the front iron sight orange, as their plastic orange safety tip was not able to be found either. I did not like that look and so took off the paint. In my state, safety orange is not required on an airsoft gun unless selling to someone else. If selling, the state law requires an orange safety tip attached. It does not have to be glued in. I did not know it at the time, but the original orange safety tip, that was painted orange, is also 3D printed. So I measured the dimensions today to create my own. It fits a Tokyo Mauri Spas12 airsoft shotgun and may fit other brands for when people want to cosplay various video game/movie characters but may of lost the original orange safety tip. I did thedesign and negative modifiers in Prusa Slicer, so I exported the tool path as an OBJ and re-saved as an STL file so the dimensions would be accurate. So it will have the 0.20mm print lines on it. People are free to remix this and make it look better.
