My daughter requested a custom crown, one that shone with a dazzling brilliance - a *sparkly* crown, if you will. Initially, I turned my attention to RichRap's innovative Sparkle Printing process, yet upon inspection, I found myself hindered by the unavailability of clear PLA in my arsenal, as my workshop is predominantly equipped for ABS-based projects. Additionally, the notion of intentionally introducing contamination into my carefully sanitized printer enclosure did not sit well with me. That is when a stroke of inspiration struck - recalling how sticky the freshly polished parts appeared during the vapor polishing stage. This insight laid the groundwork for the development of sparkle polishing.
