SparkFun AVR Programmer Housing w/ Light Pipes

thingiverse

I wish I had checked Thingiverse before designing this project; there are already many excellent designs available for the Sparkfun Programmer. I own a SparkFun AVR programmer that I take back and forth to work each day, and I constantly worry it will get damaged. This concern inspired me to create a compact protective housing. Light pipes are used adjacent to the USB connector but are not required. You can still see the light if you have open holes. If you're unfamiliar with light pipes, they're small devices that capture and redirect light; they're also inexpensive. Any flat #3 or #4 screw will work for assembly. Assembly is straightforward - slide the board onto the track until the USB connector pops through the other end, attach the end-cap with two screws, and you're done.
