spark stick - early prototype
thingiverse
This is an early prototype of a key component for a compact handheld electrostatic generator. Based on a design created by P. Baumbach using gearsprings sourced from a hardware store, this version may not be printable due to its complexity. Its primary function is to hold wool cloth and aluminum tape in place, allowing electrons to be collected and replenished along a 3-ft section of 3/4-inch PVC pipe. This design was specifically tailored for the Pikes Peak 21C Library as part of their makerspace project. Updates and instructions will be posted regularly as this project progresses.
