A spark plug is a crucial component in spark-ignition engines, delivering electric current from an ignition system to the combustion chamber for igniting the fuel/air mixture via an electric spark. It contains this pressure within the engine via a metal threaded shell, porcelain insulator, and central electrode. Connected to an ignition coil or magneto, it's grounded in the cylinder head and features one or more spark gaps between the central electrode and side, earth, or ground electrode.
