Update 03 Oct 2019 I often feel that I could climb a hill faster without the weight of my spare tire in the back. I designed a solution using two strong small magnets (15x10x3mm) to make the wheel removable at any time. Update 04 Aug 2019 Due to my daughter's constant playtime and tendency to pull my entire jeep with the spare wheel, I developed an enhanced version of the design. This upgrade also helps during driving in case of a rollover by protecting the tailgate from breaking out. Additionally, I refined the optic by removing edges. To secure the wheel, use an M4 screw. *V1 Since I couldn't find any existing design for mounting the 5th wheel, I created one. Simply drill four 2.5mm holes into the tailgate and attach the holder with M2x8 screws. Now you can easily attach any standard wheel to a common adapter (lock it in place with an M2x16 screw).
