Spare part handle grip for micro scooter with insert lock possibility
thingiverse
Dear All, I'm sharing an update on my son's kicker handle grip, which was damaged and needed replacement. To create a more robust part, I designed one that can be printed using TPU or flexible PLA. For the TPU version, I used 120% flow and 45 mm/s at all speeds with 250 mic layers on my micro 3D printer, which took about 4 hours to complete without retraction. The result is shown in the first picture, featuring TPU natural from Orbitec. It worked perfectly. Later, I printed a second version using flexible PLA from M3D's Tough Ink Ruby Red, at 230°C with no retraction and 60 mm/sec at 110% flow. This one also turned out great, as shown in the second picture. I've included a design for a future insert to enable various modifications. For example, I'm thinking of adding a whistle that sounds when sufficient speed is reached or something similar. Additionally, I'd like to include a lighting system with LEDs. While nothing concrete has been decided yet, I want to keep the option open to make it smart in the future. Stay tuned – I'll be back soon!
