Spare Honday key
thingiverse
Based on Nirav Patel's idea (http://eclecti.cc/hardware/physical-keygen-duplicating-house-keys-on-a-3d-printer), I created a spare key model for Honda vehicles. This key was successfully tested in a Honda Fit, allowing doors to open but not starting the vehicle due to lacking a transponder. You can use a caliper to measure your key and match the specs provided. Determine the 'code' of your key, consisting of 10 digits (1-6), then edit the openscad file to input the code in the last line. A crucial note: be cautious when testing the torque of the printed result, ensuring it won't break in the lock. Avoid forcing insertion or removal and turning the key. My print inserted and turned smoothly without needing force. Print Settings: Printer: Flashforge Creator Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 50% Notes: To avoid overhang issues and achieve maximum precision, I printed the key vertically.
