SPARCStation 10 Floppy Drive Wedge

A simple clone of the little part that wedges the floppy drive in place on a Sun SPARCstation 10 computer. It may be used in other Sun-products as well; I'm not sure. I've also made spacers and grommets for the screws in a different thing, so have a look at my other models if you're in need of these as well. Note that although this wedge fits into the slots for the harddrives, these donot need wedges: the case-top has wedges built-in, and so attaching (these) wedges will make it impossible to close the lid! Let me know if you know of any other Sun machines that use this part. Included: Blender project, which has multiple models to assist in redesigns STL file for a single wedge (the floppy drive uses three) Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: I3 MK3S Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: Variable Infill: 100% Filament: Prusa Polymers PLA Silver Notes: These are designed to be printed standig up, with the broad side (with triangular edges) on the bed. I used the Variable Layer Height feature in PrusaSlicer to reduce the layer height on the miniscule parts (the two dents on the sides of the wedge) to 0.1mm, whilst the rest of the wedge was at 0.2mm. It probably doesn't matter that much, but make sure the dents have some substance. Category: Parts
