SPAM Slicer
thingiverse
The original text suggests using SPAM musubi, but for uniform slices, one can build a slicing guide or take it a step further to create an actual slicer. Following the official SPAM website's recommendation of nine slices per can, this design caters to that requirement. To assemble the slicer, print the single unit or four parts and glue them together. Although there are no allowances for fitting, forcing them into place will work. To use the slicer, wind a filament around one knob, going through the guides, and then wind it on the second knob (using 24-gauge steel wire is recommended, but heavy dental floss could also work). It may be challenging to get the wire tight initially, so feel free to share any effective techniques you discover. To slice the SPAM, simply push down through it to start and then turn it over, forcing the wires through to complete the slices. If you have any insights or improvements, please share them.
