Spaghetti Antlers
thingiverse
Functional art: Spaghetti antlers. Wall-mounted spaghetti measures designed to resemble antlers are shown here. The dots indicate the serving portion, which looked more natural than numbers. Disclaimer: I have no idea whether this is American or European sizing, but I followed the size commonly available in shops. Two versions of antlers exist, each with a left-facing and right-facing side, along with a pair of wall mounts (if desired). Only two small screws are needed to secure the wall mount. The antlers/measurement plates are removable, simply lift them off. Why two versions? I started with the larger version (v1), but it exceeded my 6x6x6 print bed dimensions. To avoid distorting the design, I created v2, which fits within a 6x6x6 print bed. Although not as pretty in my opinion, it still works. Why two sides? The measurement plates can be used singly or in pairs (if space allows). If using both sides, mount them so that when swung open like saloon doors, they support both ends of the dried spaghetti. Simply drop in, grab, and boil. Make cooking fun! P.S.: I didn't have spaghetti on hand, so I used Angel Hair pasta for the video: https://youtu.be/CVnSbMua5wI Update 21/7/16: v2 Right Side mount and antler printed; pic uploaded Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Black Supports: Yes Infill: 20%
