SpaceX Starship Mk1
thingiverse
This is a 1:275 model of the SpaceX Starship Mk1. Recently, SpaceX has been building a prototype starship vehicle at their facility in Boca Chica Texas. Just last night (9/28/19), Elon Musk gave the public a detailed look into the development of this vehicle. The Mk1 prototype has 2 rear fins instead of the original concept's 3 fins. Furthermore, the rear fins will no longer function as landing legs; instead, there will be 6 separate landing legs around the bottom rim of the vehicle. The Mk1 is equipped with 3 sea-level raptor engines that can thrust-vector. The main body is made from welded stainless steel sheets. Future starship models will have hot-gas thrusters and heat shielding, plus they'll be constructed out of a single sheet of steel. Eventually, the Mk1 will take to the skies for its first test flight, aiming to reach an altitude of 60,000 ft. Subsequent prototype vehicles will undergo similar tests and eventually make it into orbit. Production model starships are expected to carry 100 crew members and will be capable of reaching most places in the solar system thanks to their ability to refuel in space.
