SpaceX "Heart of Gold"
thingiverse
My internet connection isn't fast enough to finish building and uploading plans for a massive booster or LC-39A at Cape Canaveral right now, but Elon Musk has recently announced a plan to build thousands of identical designs to send to Mars every 26 months if funding is secured. He suggested the name "Heart of Gold" for the first ship under construction. This model of "Heart of Gold" is scaled down to 1/1000 of its actual size. The dimensions used as reference are available at this link: http://cdn.slashgear.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/ship-1.jpg If you're interested in seeing the entire hour-and-a-half presentation outlining plans for colonization, visit SpaceX.com/mars. In addition to designing the "Heart of Gold," I have also created a booster that will lift this rocket into space. You can find more details about it on my other projects. I'll also take this opportunity to promote OnShape, a free 3D CAD tool as capable as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor, but with the added benefit of being cloud-based. This allows users to work on designs from iPhones, Chromebooks, and any computer. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer Model: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Notes: Keep in mind that this model is scaled down to 1/1000 of its actual size. You'll need to adjust the scale to determine what will fit on your printer.
