Spaceship Orion (Raumschiffes Orion)

This is a remix of the Space Patrol Orion starship made by Mike Rophone. I love his model; however, I wanted on that was a little easier to assemble as I'm horrible at aligning small parts without guide pegs. I also cut down the number of components and enlarged the model by 125%. Oh, and I revised the elevator so that you could have several different options for how open it was. After printing and assembling the model, I have tweaked several of the parts. I'll eventually upload an even more heavily modified version. In the version 7 of the model, I've added an additional section in the center that allows a translucent part to be attached. You can leave the glow ring sections out, although you might have to trim down the bottom plate's rod.. I've also made the v7 bottom plate slightly less angular with more curve. You will need to sand parts to fit, Everyone's printers are slightly different and I feel it is easier to trim away material (and to reprint if necessary) than to have too loose a fit. Note that each file indicates how many of them you will need to print. If you haven't seen this short German tv show from the 1960s, you should. You might think that it was a copy of the original Star Trek, and they do share many characteristics; however, it aired a mere weeks before the original Star Trek and 6 years before Trek was broadcast in Germany! Sadly, there are only a handful of episodes. But it was Star Trek that started in 'the Bar' each week!
