I designed a spaceship for the RPG Traveller years ago. Initially, it was intended for DnD scale minis, but that would have resulted in a 4-meter-long model, which my wife vetoed. A 15mm scale model like the old 'Snapshot' and 'Azhanti High Lightning' game scale would still be over 2 meters long, so I opted for 1/285th scale instead. At this size, ~0.85 meters is a reasonable fit with my other models. The parts can be combined multiple ways, but I'm ensuring they assemble easily. If nothing else, the components like tanks and radiators might be repurposed as scenery for sci-fi games. I've added files to print the ship at 1/2400 scale now. The radiators are crafted from thin card (a Sudafed box serves as a suitable template). After gluing the forward hull halves together, they can be skewered on a toothpick and then attached to the rear hull piece via glue. It remains a work in progress until I receive my own printed model, assemble it, and paint it. Not all parts are posted yet; I need to print and test them first.
