I use components like stainless steel shells with four ramps LCD for my controller. A RepRapDiscount Full Graphic Smart Controller is also part of it. To mount the controller to the steel console, I use spacers. You need to print the STL-file four times because you'll require four long and four short spacers. The long spacers go between the steel console and the controller while the short ones are placed between both printed circuit boards. Check out the images for more details about this project.
