I planned to utilize Toolson's silicone dampers on my Anet A6/A8. Since the A6 lacks an adjustable endstop in the Z-direction, I had to adjust the height of the dampers accordingly. As the +6 mold would be too high, I created a 3 mm spacer for use with the standard mold. The spacer is simple to scale up in the slicer, allowing you to customize it as needed. For instance, if you have 14 mm of clearance between the h-frame and heatbed, a 4 mm spacer will do the trick perfectly. I used Toolson's recommended silicone for this project, and it works wonderfully. It reduces vibrations and eliminates resonance issues entirely. I no longer need to use springs.
