I was determined to use Toolson's silicone dampers on my Anet A8 printer, but first I had to modify them for the A6 model since it lacks an adjustable endstop in the Z-direction. To make up for this limitation, I created a custom spacer that raises the height of the dampers, allowing me to use the standard mold instead of the +6-mold. The spacer is remarkably easy to adjust using any slicer software, giving users complete control over its dimensions. For instance, if you have 14 mm of space between your printer's frame and heatbed, a 4 mm spacer will provide perfect results. To assemble the dampers, I used Toolson's recommended silicone material, which works flawlessly. The vibrations are significantly reduced, eliminating any resonance issues that would normally occur. I've completely phased out using springs, as they're no longer needed with this setup.
