This is a leg spreader designed for martial arts training, ideal for working on the large facial spread. A similar torture device already exists in the market, but I wanted to create one at a lower cost using materials I had on hand, including wooden boards and steel threaded rods. The only material I needed to purchase was a piece of 40 x 27 x 1.5 mm steel tubing. Compared to commercial products, this leg spreader has a lower yield due to its limited ability to withstand the effort required to pull it apart. When the crank handle is overloaded, excessive friction can occur, requiring some parts to be made with additional material for added strength, such as thicker walls and bottoms, along with extra fillings... After testing, I found that the arm axes needed to be reinforced for optimal performance. The attached attachments are designed to be completed with those from my previous creation, the angle gearboxes.
