Spacer 1

Torque transferring spacers reinforce StoraBrollan's Logitech Momo Force hub replacements, ensuring the steering angle limiter stays aligned if the hub fails between the force feedback gear and steering wheel, preventing over-rotation damage to the wheel angle potentiometer. Installation involves replacing m3x20mm screws with longer screws that seat against a 39mm diameter metal washer fitting into the large end of the hub. The spacer has a 2mm gap to the washer, allowing compression force on the hub. The washer in the photos features notches for original hubs, suitable for repair or reinforcement. For original hubs, a larger diameter prototype spacer can be made by cementing 3/4" PVC pipe into 1" PVC pipe to create an 18mm spacer; alternatively, use a 1"x1/2" PVC bushing or modify the 3D file accordingly.
