SpaceOneFPV Side Plate Formula X220
thingiverse
I fretted about the vulnerable flanks of my SpaceOneFPV Formula 220x so I crafted some side panels for it. I opted for a 1mm wall thickness, .8mm top and bottom layers, 20% infill, with a 4mm brim on a heated bed that was cranked up to maximum temperature. I didn't require any supports, which made the printing process much smoother. I used a zip tie to join the two pieces together seamlessly. They clip onto the existing posts without needing to disassemble the frame entirely. I printed this in Weed Trimmer Line (Nylon or similar material) at 240 degrees Celsius on a bed temperature of 60 degrees, but I'm sure TPU or any flexible material would perform equally well, too.
