It is a shame. This hardware costs a lot of money and it's really sturdy and made for eternity. But not the soft touch surface.The sticky soft touch surface just annoyed me. I used baby powder first. Enough annoyed by that I cleaned the whole thing with a solution of Isopropylalcohol, Propylenglykol and Water. After cleaning the knob felt like a cheap kids toy. Nothing you want to have in your hand for a longer time every day.I like the touch and feel of 3D printed parts more, that is why I decided to reengineer the knob and print it in PLA.This knob is made for the SpaceMousePro only. I have an older SpacePilot too with broken electronics but that knob is slightly different.Other people on this platform and on other platforms made replacement knobs already but they were not accurate enough for me.
