The Cosmo Protectorate has been making and exporting starships to all customers for centuries despite recessions, wars, economic sanctions, and the occasional boycott campaign. Protectorate craft have been seen in the core systems and beyond the outer rim. Their designs are practical, rugged, and perhaps a little cheap, but they get the job done. The Coyote destroyer ranks among the most well known combatants of the mercenary incursions in the outer rim. Widely available, durable, and easy to operate, Coyotes were a common sign during the incursions, and many changed hands over the years, sometimes leading to confusion as ships wearing old colors were sometimes in action against their former owners. Coyotes were light pulse armed and were considered useful vessels, especially when operating as escorts or in groups. The Buffalo Wolf was an upgunned variant mounting a small number of heavier pulse turrets. They were a field refit done in rim shipyards, so many have individual variations or quirks not intended by the manufacturer. The Jackal variant carried a heavy torpedo loadout, but was ill suited to operate alone and was intended for service alongside other destroyers or as part of a larger fleet. The Dingo was a late addition by Cosmo, learning from war experience, rearranging the light pulse turrets and carrying a powerful spinal beam cannon. A number of Jackals and Coyotes were converted into Dingos as the incursions wore on. These are generic starships modeled in roughly 2mm scale (about 1/900 or so). Weapons and drive systems would make them comparable to Expanse, Homeworld, Full Thrust, or similar technology levels. Starships are armed with a mix of point defense guns, missiles, pulse and beam energy weapons, and of course railguns.
