SPACECASE

SPACECASE is a transport case designed specifically for the 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator, a 3D mouse used to navigate complex three-dimensional spaces. The case's purpose is to safely store and transport this valuable device. To optimize the printing process, I recommend using common 3D-printer-friendly materials such as PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) or HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene). Both of these materials offer stability and can be easily sanded for a smooth finish. When assembling the SPACECASE, make sure to adjust the click connection with sandpaper at a coarse grit setting of 200 before joining the two inner parts together. The upper part should rotate freely without any resistance or sticking issues. Proper adjustment ensures seamless assembly and functionality of the case. Here are my recommended print settings for optimal results: * Printer: HEXAGON V2, a delta-printer known for its speed and accuracy. * Rafts: Not necessary, as the object can be printed directly on the build plate without any issues. * Supports: Yes, to ensure stable printing and prevent warping of the object during the printing process. * Resolution: Set to 0.2 mm for a high level of detail and precision in the print. * Infill: Use a 20% honeycomb pattern for added strength and lightness. Notes: The SPACECASE was printed using Simplify3D, a popular slicing software that allows for precise control over the printing process.
