Space X Logo display and stand Two files: Space X Logo.stl Mounting Plate.stl The Space X Logo.stl has individual letters and a stylized X logo. Rotate the letters 90 degrees so they lie flat on your build plate. Ensure the top of the letters face up when you print for a better finish without supports. The Mounting Plate.stl is a simple plate with notched holes for inserting the letters. Depending on printer accuracy and tuning, you may need to sand the letters slightly to get them to fit snugly. The letters from my print snapped in after a light sand on short edges only. You should not need glue. For a good finish, I sandpaper letter surfaces and mounting plates with 200 grit paper, then 400 grit, and finally a short sand with 600 grit. This is optional based on print quality and personal preference. I painted the letters using Tamiya Acrylic model paint. XF-18 Medium blue for the letters and XF-66 light grey for the stylized "launch" slash of the X. You can paint the mounting plate any color you like. I have painted one black and one white, and I prefer the white one. Note: The mounting plate is 240mm long, so you need a printer with at least that print width or scale down both parts uniformly. All I ask if you use this is to give me credit and post a picture of your build. Also, please do not resell it; this is a copyrighted logo, and you should not gain financially from its sale.
