Tightening up door hinges just got a whole lot easier, see details in txt file. My Space Wolf Doors My drop pod doors are rocking a bold space wolf theme. To replicate the design, build your own drop pod first using this model as reference - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:446893 - you'll find detailed instructions on how to assemble it under the printing hints section. I need your help to keep my creations alive! If you're loving my content, please consider visiting my blog at L3-G0.com and sharing it with friends, or tune into my YouTube channel for even more Lego fun! Now that we've got the basics covered, let's get into the fun stuff - decorating our drop pods. With plenty of space on these doors to add custom details, I got creative and merged other space wolf-inspired elements. If you're printing your own set of Space Wolf Doors with supports, here are a few tricks up my sleeve: 1) Your model will print with supports that look suspiciously like anti-slip flooring - give it a shot! High layer resolution (.1mm) helps. 2) I discovered one of the doors, particularly the one sporting the skull emblem, gets a little tough to disassemble when printing directly on supports. It's quite feasible to avoid this trouble by building the skull part separately and then attaching it later. Design Tip: To replicate my awesome wolf's head emblem, simply reduce your model's scaling factor down to 20% for optimal size consistency (or roughly half the original scale) and attach to door as needed - if you're into teaching biology classes you'll know a wolf and dog skull have many things in common. So the takeaway here: space can be quite small; canine skull, on one hand; still use what nature supplies as far possible as can manage with current state of affairs - now enjoy these sweet Lego designs from the start. A Friendly Reminder As for any model files you may have been tempted to directly import, a warning - do not. As always this link will get things running in full gear so it might look worth the attempt: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:446893. I appreciate your visit today!
