Space Shuttle

Designed by talented student Bryce F., this exceptional space shuttle model boasts functional cargo bay doors that can be opened and closed with ease. To assemble this masterpiece, 1.8 mm filament must be utilized to link parts where the holes align, also serving as hinges for the cargo bay doors. The assembly process involves gluing most parts together - excluding the doors - using miniature model pinning techniques similar to those applied with filament. This step is highly advisable. Unfortunately, Bryce's teacher missed capturing a photo of this outstanding project once it was printed and assembled, so one will simply have to trust our assessment that it prints superbly and truly impresses! Instructions All parts were carefully printed using PLA with 3 shells and 15% infill. While some parts necessitate support structures (six cargo bay doors, the front fuselage, and several wing sections), others require none. To connect the fuselage and wing sections securely, friction-fit holes were joined using 1.8 mm PLA filament, which can also be used to add an adhesive bond. The same filament plays a crucial role as hinges for the cargo bay doors that swing open and shut - making gluing them superfluous
