This product features a low poly 3D model of the Space Shuttle, built almost to scale and fully textured. It includes the boat tail fairing, exterior model of the Boeing 747-100 transport aircraft, and animateable surfaces like flaps, ailerons, rudder, elevators, landing gear, and landing gear doors. The Boeing 747-100 is also near to scale and textured completely. The model is provided in ten different formats. The Space Shuttle program began in the late '50s with design and development experiments, continued through the '80s and '90s, and concluded in the early 2000s. This historic program offered a reusable system for space flight that was both safe and groundbreaking in its implications, capabilities, and duration, with only two exceptions resulting in vehicle destruction and crew fatalities.
