The Advanced Medium Poly launch version comprises the shuttle orbiter's exterior along with external tanks and solid rocket boosters. It also features an animated payload bay with opening cargo doors, animateable landing gear, elevons, rudder, and is almost to scale with full texture detailing. This model includes the aerodynamic surface of the spacecraft, tank, and boosters, provided in 10 different formats. The Space Shuttle program began in the late '50s, starting with design and development experiments. It continued from the '80s to the '00s, providing a reusable system for space flight - historically significant, highly capable, and lasting over decades. Despite two fatal incidents, the program was overall a safe and groundbreaking achievement in space exploration.
