The initial Low Poly version of this basic model encompasses the shuttle orbiter's exterior along with external tanks and solid rocket boosters. It is scrupulously textured and crafted almost to scale. The model features the aerodynamic surface design for the spacecraft, tanks, and boosters, but omits landing gear and control surfaces for aerodynamics. This model is furnished in ten diverse formats. The shuttle program began in the late '50s with design experiments. Operating from the '80s to the '00s, it was a secure system with just two fatal exceptions involving vehicle destruction and crew fatalities. The Space Shuttle program introduced a reusable space flight system that was historically groundbreaking, multifaceted in capabilities, and prolonged in duration.
