space-saving storage system for Canon lenses
thingiverse
I designed this innovative storage solution to hold my Canon lenses on top of my audio system in a space-saving and highly accessible manner. Given that lens usage often fluctuates, the system boasts a modular design. The lenses are secured using original, slightly conical rear caps from Canon. Other caps, such as larger Sigma rear caps, won't fit due to their size. The lens holder element features two mounts for lenses, with the front mount tilted slightly to minimize its footprint. The lens holder element can be used independently or connected to additional lens holder elements using connection parts that snap into place at the bottom of each element. Since the connector elevates the holders, an end part is necessary to maintain uniform elevation. In addition to the lens holder, I created a storage compartment for SD-cards, USB flash drives, and an IR remote control. The system's geometry was designed with lenses having a maximum outer diameter of 85mm in mind. It has been tested with various lenses in different combinations on the front and back positions: * Sigma Art 24 f1.4 * Canon 50 f1.4 USM * Canon 85 f1.8 USM * Canon 135 f2 L * Tamron 180 f3.5 Macro * Canon 200 f2.8 L Please let me know if larger elements are required, such as for the 70-200mm zoom lenses. I will review the files and see if I can add them. Disclaimer: Use this storage system with caution and at your own risk. I assume no responsibility for any damage to your equipment.
