Updated version of this extruder can be found here This is an experimental extruder design that may work with some Eustathios printers (I'm using Eric Lien's Eustathios v2 Spyder variant). This extruder allows switching between different configurations and has more cooling. It is much larger and heavier, so expect to lose about 1cm build area in x and y. It takes longer to assemble and install than other designs. I prefer to run with more part cooling than most printers do, which makes the extruder slightly larger and more complex. Some users may experience issues with the extruder cooling sufficient for warmer environments or heated build chambers. See the instructions tab for more info on assembly and parts required. Filaments: -- Sainsmart Clear PETG -- IAP Clear ABS Instructions E3D v6 The E3D v6 is held in place by a M5x30mm screw and an optional M3x40mm screw. The slot for the E3D has tight tolerances that require light sanding to get a good fit. Bushings I'm using 10x14x30mm graphite bushings with NinjaFlex sleeves, but you can use more common self aligning bushings in place of these. However I have found the larger size of the extruder makes it more prone to binding than the original design, so some adjustments may be necessary. Extruder Fan The extruder fan is attached using cylindrical magnets, black oxide set screws and a NinjaFlex gasket. This method provides an easy way to remove the fan if needed. Cooling Fans This extruder uses two 50mm x 15mm blower fans for part cooling, which are secured in place by glue dots. Cooling Duct The duct is attached using M4x3mm set screws and 5mm x 3mm cylindrical magnets. There is some adjustment range with the set screws that can help accommodate different configurations. Lights (optional) You may wish to add LED lighting to indicate when the hotend is hot enough, as I have done on my system. Brass M3 Press Fit Inserts Holes are included for installing brass threaded inserts on top of the extruder block.
