Space Frame Stools BWarDesign.
thingiverse
Create a stool inspired by space equipment, designed and crafted in a fablab! The design is based on NASA's space pod and probe frames, as well as visible frameworks common in space-related gear. It was part of a university furniture brief requiring the piece to be both designed for and made in a fablab. Inspired by Gustav Düsing's chair, the stool is made from 18mm plywood, with four stools (two small, two big) fitting on a single 1200x2400 sheet. Assemble it by slotting together pieces until legs are flush on the ground, then adding the top surface pieces using a rubber mallet for a snug fit. Optional supports can be added from mild steel, cut at a 45-degree angle and bent downward, fastened with nuts, bolts, and threaded rods. Consult the assembly instructions booklet if needed. Enjoy your unique stool!
