This is a model of the "C57-D Space Cruiser" from the 1956 sci-fi film, Forbidden Planet. Created in 3ds Max 12, it comes with formats including FBX and OBJ. The flying saucer-inspired spaceship features 44 objects, 92,397 vertices, and 153,403 polygons. It has 11 standard materials and is rendered using Mental Ray Renderer. Presentation images are included, but do not feature crew or planet backgrounds. The model is built to a real-world scale of 1:1 and uses milimeters as units. Additional features include animations for landing/take-off simulation and independent rotation, retracting landing strut & gangway, and retracting pedestal.
