Space Carrier/Mother Ship
thingiverse
This is a mighty space carrier/mother ship spacecraft. The main body, a sturdy carrier, boasts four swift movable turrets, ample space for five agile fighters, and seamlessly connects to the robust cruiser. Whether this majestic vessel serves as the crown jewel of the fleet or its entire backbone, it stands ready to conquer new worlds. Print Settings Printer Brand: Robo 3D Printer: R1 ABS + PLA Model Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: High Infill: 30% Notes: I required rafts for every component and supports for all except the nimble fighters. I also duplicated the fighters and turrets instead of printing multiple versions. The carrier and cruiser feature intricate, lengthy prints; conversely, the fighters and turrets are remarkably short. Post-Printing During the removal of support from the cruiser, one arm broke off, serving as a cautionary tale: exercise care when handling delicate structures; consider utilizing increased infill for added stability. Although nearly undetectable, this oversight did not detract from my overall satisfaction with the final product. How I Designed This The arms on the cruiser were meticulously crafted using a shape expertly drawn on an iPad app called Morphi and subsequently transformed into 3D reality.
