Space Bug Can Openers
thingiverse
One of my favorite pastimes is keeping and breeding aquariums. I specialize in guppies and swordtails, with the guppies proving more successful than the swords in terms of breeding. However, I've recently taken an interest in raising invertbrates. The dwarf crayfish, Cambarellus patzcuarensis, holds a special place in my heart due to its unique behavior when interacting with humans. When you stick your hand in the water, these creatures will raise their claws as if preparing for battle, only to quickly retreat once they realize the size difference between them and the human hand. My first dwarf crayfish, whom I named Mister Pinchy, was an exceptional individual. He had a strong affinity for snails and enjoyed terrorizing male guppies. I created these designs in order to create a space-themed version of Mister Pinchy, one that could feed on space snails while terrorizing space guppies. If you prefer not to give your 3D printed creature a crustacean appearance, you may want to remove the randomly-placed spikes before printing. I have included both the base files and supported files for this project. If you wish to modify the position of the arms and claws, simply separate the shells and rearrange them as desired. On my Ender 3 3D printer, these designs printed well at a layer thickness of .08mm, but you may be able to achieve better results with higher layer heights if you are willing to tolerate some layer lines.
With this file you will be able to print Space Bug Can Openers with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Space Bug Can Openers.
