SP1 hotend
thingiverse
THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS Many hotends appear to be designed with jamming in mind. I'm actively working on this design to minimize one major source of jamming - reducing the number of physical connections the filament must navigate. Most of my jams seem to occur at the nozzle/aluminum block or at the "neck"/aluminum block meeting points, so making the heating block surround the hotend rather than relying on the soft aluminum as part of the mechanical structure itself is a top priority. I still need to input real values for the filament intake hole size and thread as well as the nozzle hole size and thread before proceeding with machining. This design is created using Onshape, and I'm still figuring out how to correctly generate threads within the software.
