SP0NZ Dummy Radial 9 C
thingiverse
This 9-cylinder dummy radial engine is designed to work seamlessly with the Flite Test C Pack Radial 2218 1080 kv brushless motor. I engineered it to add semi-scale detail to your foam board model airplanes, elevating their realism to a new level. It prints as a single piece without supports using basic PLA filament, making it a breeze to manufacture. The dummy radial features pass-thru cooling, allowing air flow over the motor and into the airframe for ESC cooling. This design ensures efficient heat dissipation, extending the lifespan of your motor. To mount the dummy radial directly to the motor, you'll need my 3D printed firewall. Simply use M3 x 18mm cap screws (available separately) to secure it in place. You can find more information and images on how to do this. Firewall design available here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4542290 This model was inspired by Radial engine dummy RC plane, but I took a fresh approach, building it from the ground up to work perfectly with the Flite Test Radial and my firewall. The design is highly configurable, allowing you to choose between 3 and 11 cylinders. I'll be adding more variations soon, so feel free to leave a comment if there's a specific configuration you'd like me to create. I'm also working on similar models for the B and F pack motors, so stay tuned for those updates!
