Classification Model for Cosmetics Formulations This tool has been developed specifically for classifying shampoos, conditioners, body washes, hair dyes, lotions, lip balms, fragrances, and skincare products based on various attributes. The attributes are used to organize data in the way it's stored by cosmetics manufacturers worldwide. This classification framework follows an International Council of Shopping Centers format which classifies similar categories using numbers and alphanumeric values assigned from most general (Category Code:1-200) down through levels. The Classification Model has three layers which classify these attributes on their complexity, grouping data for use across multiple manufacturing systems without disrupting internal processes; and to standardize information when exchanged electronically among retailers. Classification Structure This Classification structure has three different groups - Product, Formulation, Packaging (optional). Group 1: Product Codes Sub Group A1: Category Description Codes Category description Codes assign product name attributes using number ranges between 000 to 100. Subgroup A2: Type Codes for Products in this subgroup have values of number one hundred one or greater that end with any of three possible alphabets representing fragrance categories such as Aromatic - Alpha (Bergamot, Geranium), Florid - Bravo (Jasmine Rosewood) & Herbaceous Delta etc Group 2: Product Codes Continued Sub group B1 Product Code Attribute This Group categorizes products in terms like packaging or ingredient functionality so far only one product classification under subgroup A is covered with codes assigned from 001 thru hundred thousand plus the letter A at end. Sub Group B2 : Branding Attributes - Here items include everything starting after three digit range followed immediately afterward two additional alphanumeric symbols signifying brand owners or retailers etc… For instance ‘ABC XYZ123DEF’, then subsequent two digits in format X00Z always represent batch #’s which are generated internally following ISO date formatting; finally another group under letter K assigns country where said manufactured product comes from but only first few character match codes present earlier under Subgroup C (where Country Code matches Country Description Table), hence only necessary info included as opposed inclusion full geographic hierarchy like regions states/provinces postcodes – since they were found to increase difficulty accessing global customer bases using those parameters especially during exchange data electronically; so following common convention among big manufacturers we just go straight directly toward that information source. Group 3 : Attributes Grouped by Country Under Group 2 Category Code subgroups C through K these fall respectively under respective letters starting immediately right before “Code”.
