Soyuz FG Rocket
thingiverse
Following up on my previous SpaceX Falcon Heavy design, which you can find at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3562441, I'm now introducing the Russian Soyuz-FG Rocket. This model is a remix of an existing design available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3124686/, which I've used as a 3D template to create my rocket design. To match the scale of my previous Falcon Heavy, which was designed at 1:86, I scaled this Soyuz-FG up to 1:77. My goal was to make the rocket easy to assemble while maintaining its accuracy and detail. I added connectors between parts to facilitate alignment before gluing them together. Depending on your 3D printing settings, some parts may not even require glue. For a step-by-step assembly guide, please visit my blog at http://thefragmentationparadox.blogspot.com/. The dimensions of the completed model are 90x90x640mm. If you're interested in building this Soyuz-FG Rocket but don't have access to a 3D printer, I'm offering pre-printed parts on Tindie: https://www.tindie.com/products/the_fragmentation_paradox/3d-printed-soyuz-fg-rocket-kit-177-scale-39pcs/. The parts come in the correct colors and feature painted logos.
