Sovol SV06 Pi Camera/Arducam Solution
thingiverse
I present to you a simple solution to hold a Pi Camera on the SV06 right X-carriage mount so you can control your print while the Z is raising, it consists of a simple mount that snaps onto the carriage and serves as a holder to an articulated arm where you can attach the case, the case it's a simple snap-on system so no tools are required for the whole solution. With the setup shown It just adds 30gr to the carriage (camera included) and the Z-auto align function is not compromised at all. Case has been designed to fit Pi Cam v1, v2 and v3, it also fits the Arducam IMX519. For assembly and printing instructions, please read below. Happy printing!!! ### Changelog v0.5 - 15th Apr 2023 - Cam case has been redesigned from scratch to fit Pi Camera v1, v2 and v3. Tested w/v1 and Arducam IMX519 and they fit perfect. - Cam case also has been improved and it's now tool-less with a snap-lock system that secures your camera in place. - The arm is now articulated and modular so more options and freedom to orient the camera. It's also tool-less. - Carriage holder has been optimized to be more robust (tab system has been improved) v0.4 - 3rd April 2023 - Fixed arm version and first release ### What you will need? - All parts printed - A suitable camera. ### Assembly Instructions Check image in the gallery for the "Carriage Holder" For the articulated arm you're gonna need a "Ball", a "Threaded" and a "Thread" for each join you want to make. Carriage holder has a male connector as well as the cam case, on this you can connect the "Ball" end or the "Male Connector". If you want to extend the joins, you can use the "Extender". It's a good idea to oil the threads a lil bit before the first use. ### Printing Instructions Rotate the back-cover 90º, rest of the files print as STL is oriented. Used 20% gyroid infill, 3 walls and 0.2mm layer height with 0.4mm line width (printed with a 0.5mm nozzle, take this into consideration). No supports are needed but for the "Ball", you can try without, but I've had much success with tree supports over 70º to avoid knock-offs when printing a bunch of them. For materials, anything solid would serve. ### Credits: - Articulated arm solution based on Jack's solution available here: https://www.printables.com/model/80144-articulated-arm
