Sovol SV-01 Meanwhile Fanguard
thingiverse
I had the idea to do this upgrade by taking off the hood of the box and realizing that the fan of the power supply was stuck on the metal wall without any opening, so it served no purpose for cooling the power supply during printer use. Thanks to this opening, the fan can finally blow fresh air from below the printer and therefore cool the power supply correctly. The central hole of the opening is located 6.5 centimeters on the X axis and 4 centimeters on the Y axis. Please check before drilling that these dimensions correspond to your machine. Here is the list of materials: - Flat grating plate (3 euros at GIFI) - 4 M4 screws - 4 M4 washers - 1 sheet of paper The necessary tools for cutting, assembling and installing are: - Drill - Screwdriver - Wrench - Compass - Ruler - Pencil - Dremel and cutting disc - Soldering iron (replaceable with glue) You can save time in the cutting of the opening if you have a metal hole saw. Regarding the printing parameters: - 100% infill - Layer height: 0.07 - Contour width: 1.2 - Supports in contact with the plate (75%) - Speed: 40mm/s - Ventilation at 39% A video of the installation is available here: https://youtu.be/In3hFOKu68w Don't hesitate to share, and let me know if you encounter any problems.
