It has to be sliced with no top or bottom layers. The pattern will change according to what infill type and percent is chosen before slicing. I've added a few screenshots with different infill patterns to give you an idea of what its suppose to look like. I listed and test printed it with a .4 nozzle, BUT if you have a smaller nozzle it will come out better. My best version was with a .25 nozzle. If your fan sounds like its struggling try another infill pattern/infill percentage. I printed it in PETG, but PLA should be fine since it isn't subjected to much heat.
