Instead of metal dog tags, this is what the Red Army used during the second world war for identification. Refered to as "смертный медальон" - roughly "death medallion/locket". This black little bakelite cylinder was carried to contain a rolled up paper form with the personal information of the soldier. Scans of the 40x180mm paper ID form can be found available online. It was officially retired on the 17th of November 1942, though I'm not sure what was the case in practice.

It measures 50mm long and 15mm in diameter. I used the pictured wartime example for measurements, and the copy is mostly faithful. Threads are not cross-compatible with the original as I prioritised an easier print. Added a version of the less common top with a hole for a string, based on estimates from photos.

Allow build plate supports and preferably use a 0.1mm or finer layer height, might need to also allow "Detect Thin Walls" to retain the detail at the bottom.

Update 2022-01-20: Slightly loosened tolerances of internal thread
