The Berlin War Memorial is a war memorial and military cemetery located in Treptower Park, Berlin. Designed by the Soviet architect Yakov Belopolsky, it honors 7,000 of the 80,000 Red Army soldiers who lost their lives during the Battle of Berlin in April-May 1945. The monument opened four years after World War II on May 8, 1949, and served as East Germany's central war memorial. The Berlin War Memorial is one of three Soviet memorials built in the city following the end of the war. Two other notable monuments are the Tiergarten memorial, constructed in 1945 within the Tiergarten district that later became part of West Berlin, and the Soviet War Memorial Schnholzer Heide located in Berlin's Pankow district. High-quality materials have been applied to ensure photorealistic visuals. The model is ready for GPU rendering with proper named textures set and material. All texture paths have been removed.
