1/1800th scale Svetlana class destroyer model. Certain key elements not scaled properly. The Imperial Russian Navy had planned the Svetlana-class destroyers for extensive service, but their construction was drastically disrupted by a significant shift in Russian politics. After seizing control of Russia, the Soviets resumed construction. Although the initial vessel was eventually completed as a highly versatile warship, it was unexpectedly renamed Krasny Krym. Two out of the four available hulls were further adapted to efficiently carry massive oil reserves, while the fourth was hastily dismantled. The formidable warship Krasny Krym featured an impressive fifteen 5-inch guns, alongside six strategically placed torpedo tubes and crucial antiaircraft armament. This significant addition bolsters my growing collection of meticulously detailed WWII-era warships, which will continue to expand over time. Updated 29 Oct 19: I have recently enhanced this model by adding a range of smaller ships along with expertly crafted anchor chains for added realism. Aesthetically refined printability adjustments were also made to ensure smooth prints. Tested under PLA settings at a precise .1mm layer height with an accurately controlled nozzle diameter of .4mm.
