Soviet "Odessa Tank" WW2 28mm
thingiverse
This is an original 3D file representing a 28mm scale model of the Odessa Tank, built during the early days of the Soviet Union's Great Patriotic War. A good review of the tank's origin can be found here: http://www.tanks-encyclopedia.com/ww2/soviet/soviet_NI_Odessa_tank.php I started with the tracks from a Soviet tractor STZ-5, sourced from Bergman's 1/200 treasure trove. The actual tractor was built from scratch. The turret is from the Soviet T-26 model 1932, again sourced from Bergman's files and upscaled. Two weapon options are available for the tank: the MG and the short 37mm gun, which is mentioned as likely installed on at least one of these models. Since they were built in a desperate time, there are many variations in their construction. I referenced photos on various sites and chose the turret from the T-26 model 1932 because it was both used historically and easily accessible. The hull MG mounts on the left upper glacis, where a small hole is left for those who wish to craft their own MG from metal.
